Liam Neeson's latest action thriller, The Mongoose, will hit theatres in the US on Friday 30 October 2026.
The film will be distributed in the US by Samuel Goldwyn Films, which acquired the US rights in May 2026. In Germany, The Mongoose will be streamed on Prime Video from 4 November 2026. More international release dates will follow.
Directed by Mark Vanselow, who was Neeson's stunt double for more than 25 years, The Mongoose will star Neeson, Marisa Tomei and Ving Rhames.
Synopsis
Ryan Flanagan, known as Fang, is a former Special Forces soldier and war hero who is falsely accused of a crime. With his back against the wall, he's got nothing left to lose and goes on the run.
Accompanied by former members of his old Special Forces battalion, he evades the law in one hell of a chase that is being shown live on TV. As the manhunt becomes increasingly popular, so does Fang, who finds supporters even among the viewers at home.
Liam Neeson stars as Fang. His ex-wife Tara is played by Oscar-winning actress Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny), while Major Walter Pope is played by Michael Chiklis, best known for starring in the cop drama series The Shield.
Other actors include Ving Rhames (The Mission: Impossible series) as Tanker, Brett Tucker as Todd, Hamish Michael and Toby Truslove as police captains.

The Mongoose is the directorial debut for Mark Vanselow, who's best known for being a stunt coordinator and Neeson's stunt double.
The two have collaborated on more than 20 films together including Neeson's breakthrough action-thriller, Taken (2008), and its sequels Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).
Vanselow has served as Neeson's stuntman since the late 1990s.
