Prime Video's new Hindi series Ishqa Ishqa is streaming on Prime Video and, in India, also on MX Player by Prime Video. It's available to watch for free from 7 October 2026.

Ishqa Ishqa is a Hindi-language romantic thriller series. The story centres around a successful writer, Kabir (Satyajeet Dubey). His popular novel, also called Ishqa Ishqa, is inspired by Arohi (Helly Shah), the girl he once loved in his younger days.

Now settled happily with his present partner Suhani (Anushka Kaushik), who's brought peace in his life, Kabir finds his muse walks back into his life. It threatens everything he's built with Suhani, but ignites his inspiration to pen down the long-awaited sequel to his bestseller.

That's all we know at this point!

The most anticipated performance on Ishqa Ishqa is that of Helly Shah, a familiar face from Hindi television who has headlined popular shows in the past like Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 and Swaragini. Playing pivotal roles that bore the emotional weight of the narratives.

Her character of Arohi, who returns to Kabir's life after a long time, seems intense and unpredictable. Shah has said that Arohi loves Kabir wholeheartedly, and that for her love and possession are almost the same thing. We can only imagine how things will spiral from there!

Is love a flame, or the peace?

While Helly Shah is arguably Ishqa Ishqa's most recognisable name, it's Satyajeet Dubey's Kabir, caught between Suhani (Anushka Kaushik) and Arohi (Helly Shah), on whom everything falls. It's essential for viewers to empathise with Kabir and understand why he's struggling to make a call.

While Kabir and Arohi remind each other of passion and electricity, Suhani offers him unconditional support, creating a safe space for him to belong. As Kaushik puts it, Suhani believes love should come with trust and space. This dichotomy of love seems to be at the heart of Ishqa Ishqa. Which makes it all the more interesting to watch, is love that which soothes you, or the one that fills you with excitement?

While love triangle stories usually push the viewer to take one side, it'll be fascinating to witness how Ishqa Ishqa navigates this trope. Especially how love (of either flavour) affects a character like Kabir, and by extension, his writing. After all, a writer without a muse is bound to run into writer's block sooner or later!

Love has always been a burning subject in Hindi fiction, especially since the 1990s. While its iteration in Ishqa Ishqa has a different format, a series instead of a feature-length film, its essence remains the same. With thriller-esque undertones, the show promises to explore this age-old question with fresh fervour.

The Rest of the Cast

While Kabir's love triangle makes for the show's centrepiece, characters like Abeer (Yudhvir Ahlawat) and Jayam (Ankit Raizada) seem just as integral. What role they play in Kabir's world is yet to be revealed, though. But rest assured, we'll keep you posted!

The Team Behind It

Directed by Amit Kumar Jha, Rajesh Bachchani's Ishqa Ishqa is produced by Moving Images Studios.

What to Expect

For starters, brace yourself for a rollercoaster of emotions. Thanks to Helly Shah's expressive eyes (a by-product of her stint on the small screen!), even the quietest of moments are sure to stir your heartstrings.

Secondly, don't let its breezy exterior fool you, Ishqa Ishqa is labelled as a romantic thriller for a reason. Its love triangle isn't without barbs!

Lastly, keep an eye out for how Bachchani uses Kabir's novel, titled, aptly enough, Ishqa Ishqa, to weave his character's real-life drama seamlessly into it. Because as Kabir pours more of Arohi onto paper, she starts demanding more of him in reality. Now that's a conundrum!

Is Ishqa Ishqa worth watching? Available free of cost on two major OTT platforms popular in Indian households, this Hindi series is worth your time, at the very least.

Who It's For

While Helly Shah's fans will likely be pleased with this departure from the softer characters the actress typically plays on the small screen. Romance lovers will hopefully find Ishqa Ishqa just as absorbing, if not more so.

After all, it's not just about who Kabir will choose, but also on what that choice could cost him! And if Shaque: Trust No One managed to hook you with its mystery, its romantic counterpart could very well do the same with its intrigue.

Watching It in India

Since 7 October 2026, viewers in India can stream Ishqa Ishqa free of cost on Prime Video and MX Player by Prime Video. Note, however, that the catalogues offered by the two platforms may differ. Prime Video lists 30 episodes, released on 7, 14 and 21 October 2026.

Official Trailer

MX Player by Prime Video released Ishqa Ishqa's official trailer on 5 October 2026, two days before its premiere, on YouTube. It is 1 minute and 35 seconds long.
