Guarding the Amrit

Based on the Indian mythological legend of the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan) and the pot of Amrit (nectar of immortality). The show centres on Samiksha's character Sunheri, who belongs to the clan of apsaras and must protect the Amrit from falling into the hands of evil forces in the modern day. Her biggest challenge will be her own sister Dhara, although more details about this relationship have yet to be revealed.

Samiksha is known for her debut leading lady role in Zee TV's Zindagi Ki Mehek and more recently playing a villain in Colors' Ram Bhavan.

Paras Kalnawat Comes Home

The actress will be sharing the screen with Paras Kalnawat in Apsara, which premiered on 21 October 2026 at 10.30 pm on StarPlus and streams on JioHotstar.

Fans will be happy to welcome Paras back to the StarPlus family after three-four years. He starred as the lovable Samar in Anupamaa and subsequently went on to star in Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya. While details of his character have yet to be revealed, the Anupamaa actor expressed his excitement about making his much-awaited comeback to the StarPlus family with Apsara.

Other prominent names lending their talents to key roles in Apsara include Adaa Khan, Anushka Merchande and Mona Vasu. Adaa is known for playing the shape-shifting Shesha in Hindi television's best known supernatural show Naagin. Other notable names associated with the show include Poorva Gokhale, Priyambda Singh, Sanket Ranadive, Preet Kaur, and Balika Vadhu's Anandi, Avika Gor. Manish Raisinghan will also feature in an important role in the show.

Anushka Merchande revealed that it took around six days to shoot the first episode of Apsara, suggesting the scale the makers are going for.
