Friday the 13th has a prequel series titled Crystal Lake, starring Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees. The eight-episode series, produced by A24, tells the story of grief-stricken Pamela Voorhees (Linda Cardellini). She is haunted by the events that transpired almost a year ago that led to the drowning of her young son Jason in the town lake.
When two strangers pay Pamela a visit to ask questions about her past, the chain of events that follow will have everyone questioning just who Pamela Voorhees really is.
Friday the 13th was released way back in 1980 and starred Betsy Palmer as Pamela, directed by none other than Sean S. Cunningham. While we're all familiar with Jason and his iconic hockey mask, Crystal Lake centres around Pamela and explores an entirely new corner of the franchise we've never seen before. The story of Pamela and events that took place before Jason and Camp Crystal Lake were household names.
