The Traitors Telugu

A Game of Trust and Lies

The Traitors is a reality game show where a group of people with different goals come together. A select few of them are the Traitors while the rest are Innocents. While the former conspire together to eliminate the latter one by one, the Innocents attempt to identify and exile the Traitors from the house at the round table. The catch? The Innocents don't know who's a Traitor and who isn't.

Hosted by actor Teja Sajja, The Traitors Telugu features popular Telugu personalities as house guests. The players participate in missions together to increase the prize pot. While all of them openly collaborate with each other, the Traitors secretly meet to discuss strategies and pick a name. All the Innocents see is the result and not the discussion.

Back at the round table, they deliberate, strategise and make a guess about who might be a Traitor. Get it right and a Traitor goes home, get it wrong and an Innocent leaves the game. Sounds simple, isn't it? Well, imagine doing that for weeks together!

When does it release?

Hosted by actor Teja Sajja, The Traitors Telugu streams only on Prime Video from 15 October 2026. New episodes release every Thursday.

Teja Sajja Takes the Chair

Actor Teja Sajja hosts The Traitors Telugu. Known for starring in the pan-India 2024 superhero film Hanu-Man and 2025's Mirai, this marks the young star's first foray into hosting a reality show. While he's been in front of the camera since he was a kid (remember him in Chiranjeevi's films like Indra?), Sajja made his foray as a lead actor in 2021's Zombie Reddy. Interestingly, director Prasanth Varma helmed that film and went on to direct Sajja in Hanu-Man.

Commenting on hosting The Traitors Telugu, Sajja said it's a completely new experience for him. He's keen to bring the hit reality format to Telugu audiences with its own flavour and personality. Typically, The Traitors' host provokes the players at the round table and nudges the discussion in intriguing directions. Coming from a seasoned TV anchor or not, Sajja brings his own youthful swagger and lighter energy to the show.

What to Expect

Expect intense conversations, unexpected alliances and awkward dinner table encounters in The Traitors Telugu. The format of the Dutch game show, originally titled De Verraders and adapted in various countries like the US and the UK, centres around a group of players seated at the round table. They attempt to unmask The Traitors in their midst. Each player vouches for their innocence while pointing fingers at the others.

Produced by SOL Productions, with Fazila Allana and Kamna Menezes serving as producers, The Traitors Telugu features missions that the players must undertake to win big. While pulling them off collectively grows the prize pot, failure reflects badly on certain players, fuelling even more suspicion at the round table.

While you could expect more Telugu banter courtesy Harsha Vardhan and company, the comedy quotient does make for some entertaining watches, even as the players' allegiances constantly remain up for grabs.

The Traitors made its India debut on Prime Video in 2025 with The Traitors, hosted by Bollywood megastar Karan Johar. The Traitors Telugu follows two seasons of the hit reality show in Hindi.
